Where: Section 8 home field just south of Lafayette

Driving Directions:
GOOGLE MAPS Directions
MAPQUEST Directions

*WAIVER LINK* EVERYONE NEEDS A NEW WAIVER!

IAA skirmish rules PLEASE know them!

Section 8 will be holding a Halloween game on October 24th. The event will feature a mixture of Halloween game types and milsim game types. Some examples of these are Territories, Search and Retrieve, as well as several different zombie games. We will be providing the means for identifying the sides.

These games will follow the IAA rules with one amendment. Because of the close quarter nature of many of the game types and that part of it takes place at night, the maximum FPS for all guns will be 400 FPS with .2 gram bb's and will be semi-auto only for certain game types. Full seal goggles are required and it is strongly suggested to wear some type of face protection.

Arrival time for the game will be at 2:00 PM and ending will be apprx. 10:00 PM
Chrono will start at 2:45 PM and end at 3:15 PM
Briefing will be at 3:30
If you arrive late you will have to wait until the current game is complete.

Be sure to have a death rags, watch, a flash light, and a bottle for water or a hydration system. Tap water will be available on site.

The price for the game is $5.00

Story
In the year 2027 North Korea along with China invaded several countries including South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. These unfounded attacks resulted in hostilities between the United States and what was now called the Asian Confederation. Over the next 4 years, the conflict escalated and encompassed the entire world. As it became clear that a war such as this could not be won by normal means, the Asian Confederation developed a virus to be released over the United States that was suppose to wipe out 80 percent of the population. However before the virus could be deployed, the facility where it was being manufactured was bombed. The virus was released by the explosions, and was mixed with some unknown compound that created a completely different and much more dangerous virus. This virus had a fatality rate of 99 % and also had a secondary attribute. It brought the dead back to life. The virus quickly swept through Asia, Europe, and Africa. Despite an ocean and thousands of miles between the continents, North and South America were affected only two week later.

The year is now 2040, and every day is a fight for survival. The few uninfected people left have to scavenge, steal, and fight for what they need to survive, but there is a small glimmer of hope. A faint murmur can be heard on the lower frequencies of the AM radio. A voice that says something of the world that was has survived. A government facility, sealed before the release of the virus, capable of sustaining several thousand people indefinably has just discovered an anti-virus. It is hard to make, and can only effect those recently infected, but it means that they are willing to offer people refuge... Or so the message goes. Who knows if it's the truth? Maybe it's just some sick * that needs more subjects to experiment on. It's all the hope that any of us have anymore so we go. Every one that has heard it, some bring everything they have. Some come for the easy targets of poorly organized groups. In the end, only those who survive will be able to say who had the right idea.

Note from Turtle:
Just a reminder to everyone that all IAA rules will be strictly enforced, whether that is fps or approved eye protection. Below is an example of goggles that do not meet the criteria for approval. Note that while the foam is full sealing against the face, the vent plug has been removed, rendering “full seal” meaningless.

You forgot a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toting a M249 with an RPG strapped to his shell...

I'm down for this one and looking forward to it. See you all on the field of ...um...trick or treat?

So do we or do we not need a waiver to play at this game? If so, could you give a link or put it in the description?

If I dress as a lumberjack, can I use a rubber axe?

On a serious note I'll ask the guys.
